Ceramic Coatings & Paint Correction
-
Without proper protection, as your vehicle is exposed to the surface, the UV rays from the sun will slowly degrade the integrity of your factory clear coat and will speed up oxidation causing your paint to lose its sheen and even cause it to haze.
-
Tree sap is inevitable during spring and summer seasons. We often park our vehicles on the “cooler” shaded side at work, home, or simply on an errand run. Shade typically has tree sap in the equation which will harm your car’s body by strongly bonding with the paint surface. The added stress from the sap will break apart the finish and not to mention how hard it is remove without swirling your paint with plastic tools.
-
When water lands on a vehicle, whether the scenario present is acidic rain, well water from local irrigation systems, or the lack of unfiltered water when washing your vehicle, there are minerals and deposits in those water molecules. Once evaporated these elements remain behind which will weaken the clear coat and deteriorate the paint over time.

Industrial Fallout, often referred to Iron Contamination, may come in the form of iron deposits, rail dust, paint overspray, concrete splatter, or tree fall out. The most common one will be brake dust aka “those tiny brown or yellow specks” on your car . A rough textured feel, these specs are tiny iron particles originating from brake dust of your brake pads of any other vehicle on the road. Iron contamination bonds strongly in the paint where a regular wash will not provide removal of the contamination. In metropolitan areas with heavier traffic, brake dust will accumulate faster due to more cars around and should always be considered to avoid the coarse feel of your paint.
-
The pH level of bird droppings range from 3.5 to 4.5 which can etch the clear coat of your vehicle. Typically if bird droppings sit in the sun untreated, it leaves a stain after similar to a dark haze on your clear coat .Like most waste, bird droppings is created by acids breaking down food. But since most of a birds diet have acidic levels themselves, they create an acidic excretion that bonds and causes damages to your paint

Aslong as your vehicle is on the road or track, it will suffer the most from tar and grime from the road thrown from vehicles ahead. Essentially a dark and viscous substance, Tar is similar to iron contamination but with a corrosive oil composition that is difficult to remove without proper techniques and products. Tar spots are most commonly found on the lower parts of the car, such as your rocker panels, front lips or the bottom of your rear bumper.
